  Re: Wal-mart sale/3033

(...) I don't see how they could have realized that, considering the fact that it simply can't be true. No matter how many buckets or piles of bricks you see for sale on eBay, RTL, here, wherever, I would be willing to be huge sums of money that the (...)   Re: Outrider project ( VERY LONG) -- read at your own risk!

Geoff and whoever else might be interested (sorry for the length), First, yes, the ship was going to be minifig scale. The hull was five bricks high at its lowest point and about six bricks high at its highest point. So, minifigs would have had (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  7141 Naboo Fighter comments

I've been looking at the 7141 Naboo Fighter sitting on top of my monitor for a week or so, and I thought I'd post a couple of quick comments on it. I like the battle droids. They should be a bit bigger, compared to minifigs, but other than that, (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: YOU be the designer

(...) Even though this set seems good I do not think LEGO would sell it for $160. This set would be bigger than the current big set, 4565 Freight and Crane Railway, and your set would include a transformer. I know, I am nitpicking. From the original (...)   Bulk brick sales and Making Silver Bricks

I just spoke with one of the supervisors from Lego CA. Here is a bit of bad news for those who want Lego to sell bulk bricks ar do ANYTHING that will increase their sales. They are at maximum production. From a management standpoint, this means that (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Piece sorting (was: building exhaustion)

For me, I have evolved from colors to actually sorting bricks out by their size/shape. I have eight 60 drawer shelving units, and multiple plastic variable size tackle box type containers. I do sort by color as well, but just for the BASIC bricks. I (...) (25 years ago, 10-May-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

Re: Do you separate old vs. new LEGO?

(...) I do not segregate new from old. In fact, I like the variation of wear/scratches/dirt that old bricks have. IMO, it makes buildings look more realistic. A building of all brand new bricks is just too shiny and pristine for me. (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Old Lego colors

(...) One thing that we need to remember was that in the late 50's and thru much of the 60's LEGO consisted mainly of TOWN sets . And in both Europe and USA/Canada (Samsonite) TOWN consisted of the Town Plan system. The (Samsonite) Town Plan set (...) (25 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Hi, Apologies if my silly news reader messed up the quote attributions. :( (...) Then I'm probably WAY too methodical. I've got over 250 drawers, classified by element. If there are too many for the little drawers, I then resort to colour. Standard (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.storage)
