Re: Queston about the classic space minifigs

(...) Hey Tobias...sounds like the parts are over-played with and are loose. They're supposed to possess the requisite "snug fit" we're all accustomed to with Lego bricks. I must have about 1,000 or more spacemen, and none possess a predilection for (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: Is the 6982 (Explorien Starship ) the biggest spaceship?

(...) I would tend to define "largest set" strictly by part count, since TLG has cheated so many times by alluding to volume with a well-photographed but intrinsically wireframe structure (Space Lock-Up Isolation Base, hello). Anyway, as far as (...) (25 years ago, 21-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

(...) I agree with this point 100%! The people who write letters and answer the phones over in Enfield or Billund usually don't know 99% of the finer points that über-nerds like ourselves are privy to. I'm willing to bet that his/her usage of the (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)

  Weather Balloons and Violence!

(...) You're spoiling the UFO delirium! :-) This kind of thing is really interesting, and makes me wonder about a Spy Vs. Spy Lego sub-theme! This will probably never happen, since it would inevitably spawn Military Sets... Branching from this (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Ugh... Tobias! Look what you have started here! :-) "LEGOLAND Space System" is, quite simply, every single space set. "LEGOLAND" is just part of the name. Just as it is part of the name for "LEGOLAND Town System." It's like a surname...they're (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.space, lugnet.admin.database)

  #6951 Robot Command Center PROTOTYPE?

Hey, I read recently in an ebay auction for a 6951 that this set, the Robot Command Center (from 1986), was a based on a concept designed for a contest...some sort of "design a space set" contest. If this is untrue, then please ignore. I was looking (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.space)

  Panaka is yellow?

I'm sure the topic of race amongst mini-figures is an ancient one, but I just wanted to hear theories from the more informed AFOL's this time.
