Re: has anyone made an at-at out of lego?

Hi Luis, Thanks for the ego-boost :) I'm glad you like the AT-ST ... to answer your other questions: 1) I'm planning on taking some pictures this weekend of the components I'm pleased with so far ... that is, the feet, the legs, the head, the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Yep, UFO. If you don't mind using NEVR-DULL you can take off the printing and still remain a purist because those pieces were made without printing too. Among other colors, they were also available in trans-clear. -Tom McD. when replying, you (...) (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) In other words, 381 : 1 (because the stud spacing is 8 millimeters, and 10 feet divided by 8 mm is 381) It would be convenient if it were 10 times "minifig scale" (which is around 40 : 1). Gary, one more thing I've noticed about the heads, there are really 3 different types.. if you look at some of the older solid stud ones, they are more squarish... the edges aren't as rounded.. As we've said, the unprinted red ones were only available years ago. You'd be better off in purchasing the relevant UFO sets today, and simply removing the printing. Tom and Greg, Both good ideas. How about this: Two 1x2x1/3 hingeplate assemblies(they look like a 2x2 plate when closed) connected in a 'z' shape. This way the hinge points could stay inside the four stud diameter circle and the door would open with (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)
