(...) Hi Jim I can't answer for anybody but myself, but the reason I joined CSF (besides the fact that my lugnet account was screwed up at the moment) is that it's so much easier to join and use: you don't have to find the well hidden free (...) (17 years ago, 15-Jul-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Hey Doug, Welcome back! As others have noted, there has been a proliferation of groups out there. With each new group there has been a renewed discussion of whether or not this is a good thing. As an admin and major poster at Classic-Castle, I'm (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jul-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Posting frequency...

(...) Oh yeah, good point, I forgot about summer and vacationing being a factor, but I still think that there has been a slight decrease in posting frequency due to the authentication, we'll just have to wait a while and see what happens I geuss.   Brickshelf.com – A Possible Solution

Hello everyone. While many may not recognize my name, I am a long time AFOL. And while I barely post, I am an active and appreciative member who has watched the Lego community grow from it’s infancy since the mid 90s (wow, I really feel old now). (...) well, 2 things 1) we have to trust Todd that if the auth hurts the site, he'll remove it. If it drives away posts then its not worth having, merely because someone once forged a few messages.   A new community of mischeif and mayhem

You know how when you go to look at the list of rules for a community forum, and the last one is something dumb like "The most important rule is to have fun"? Man, that irks me. I'm not sure where to post this in this thread, so I'm just going to throw it out there.
