  Re: Power Functions

(...) Well, consider the IR receiver is just one module sitting between the battery box and the motor; and nothing prevents anyone from replacing that with whatever they want; be it radio or bluetooth. Hopefully TLC will do something like that; but (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Rutland Boxcar #104

One of the positive sides of all the recent talk of 9v trains is that it got me building again. I don't usually post renders, but I liked the way this one turned out, and I don't (yet) have the pieces to build it. Here is my version of Rutland (...)   Re: What would YOU like to see from TECHNIC?

(...) I think we've gone very far beyond the "vote for some of these stock models" point of the original post, but as long as we've gone there... <grin>... I would love to see an "assembly line" style Technic series (each kit does something on it's (...) (17 years ago, 6-Oct-07, to lugnet.technic)

  Opinions sought on rendering method

I'm working on a different rendering method (for instructions) using POV-Ray, and I wanted to get some opinions about the output. On that note, I have two sample renderings in two different sizes, and I'd like to get people's feedback. Note that I'm (...) (17 years ago, 8-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) Now that is kind of what I was advocating in my post. The whole LEGO system is a modular system--why not come up with modular way of creating tracks and motor housings or whatever using perhaps the system as the glue and outside parts as part (...)   Waterborne offensive!

Hi all, I haven't posted any MOCs recently, but I have been building a number of new things, which I hope to post over the next week or two. To start off here are two riverine/coastal type patrol vessels. These are my first boats in the military (...)   Re: The Future of Trains

(...) Hey Harvey, I think you missed the point in the original post by Steve. The next "Train" will have motors as well. What we do not know is if the motors will fit in existing locomotive designs allowing the trains to look realistic. If the new (...) (17 years ago, 2-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

  IS1U60

Hello Handyboarders, I hve a few questions regarding IR demodulation. Fred's book shows both the GP1US2 and the IS1U60 IR demodulators but only shows how to hook up the GP1US2. I would assume that this is because they would both be wired the same (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

This popped up on theNXTstep blog a short time ago - it's from a builder in Japan named Isogawa Yoshihito, and I've got to say I'm really impressed, and was wondering what others thought.
