Re: Deadline fast Approaching & What to bring with you

(...) The consensus seems to be no, you do not have to create one if you do not want to, the entry form has the needed info to coordinate the display room. However you can if you want, in order to have something to put out with it to aid visitors. I (...) (19 years ago, 2-Aug-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: US MOC loco numbering

(...) Someone didn't check the published rosters? Every railroad has their own scheme, which they violate with impunity when they want to, or if they run out of numbers (UP just started a second reporting mark for locos because they had run out of 4 (...) Where BrickWiki is light ((URL) History of LEGO> ) for example, BW has been crosslinking (or in rare cases copying and attributing although that's not the desired approach) to the relevant (...)   Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) I think ones that used fixed burden accounting, yes, but many companies have switched to variable burden, or even Activity Based Costing. I believe the cost that LEGO fears lies elsewhere.   Re: Non Lego NMRA question

(...) This was, I think, a logging/lumber mill layout in HO. The first pic is of "camp cars" and the second, of the mill complex. I took them because I thought they might make interesting LEGO models. This layout, IIRC, was at the booth of a kit (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) I'm 80% sure (guesswise) that the reason is "we don't have enough SKUs"... This seems to me a sign of internal breakage, LEGO needs to fix their systems so they can have more SKUs without it costing them a lot more.   Re: Build the Trust

(...) My road trip went VERY well, I got a lot of good pictures and I have a very clear idea of what to use (a few of, 3 to 5 as I said) the bricks for. They *will* be related to the model.
