Re: Maiden's Cart or Blacksmiths shop for swap

Unsolicited comment: I did a deal with Dustin and it came out swimmingly. I was very pleased. (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Dump Body for mine truck

Hmm. Seems kind of ... small ... Maybe it's how shallow it is. But I like it. Mounting the front lip plates sideways into the 1x2 with top rods (or whatever that rollbar piece is called, I forget)! Now that is a neat idea! Cool. (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Those ARE nice wheels but I feel that the tires are not tall enough in proportion to the wheel for this application, the wheel is 6 of those 10 studs, and the tires are only 2 each side (or so) If you look at the proto photos it appears that (...) I'm honestly not sure which wheels I used. I will have John Neal read off the info on the side of the tire next time he's there, if he would be so kind, or I will, next time I am in Minneapolis, which may not be for a while... But they either were (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: New SW Contest Page Preview

  Re: Is this OK?

My understanding here (warning, I ain't the management) is that links that sort of "can" a search for you are OK. So is copying an image and hosting it on your own space. Here are two examples of such which I feel are perfectly OK: They happen to be (...) (25 years ago, 29-Sep-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Interesting caboose. Have you seen mine? It's been around a while and I think I got the height a bit closer. It also has a wide cupola but it is a bit older in appearance due to the window choices I made. (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.trains)

I agree with Chris. Putting color names in parts just seems wrong to me. Isn't the gray notchless version used in modern sets such as the wildwest miningish set (bandit's hideaway?) and for overhead crane rails in 4555? I could be wrong. But I'd (...) (25 years ago, 30-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
