  Does LEGO sell LEGO anymore?

Well, after looking at the latest catalog, World Tour Summer 2001, all I can wonder is: Does Lego make Lego anymore? So what does the new catalog have: · 2 page spread for Bionicle (makes one look at burps with admiration), new train engines (great (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)

Duplo Castle / Dragon sets parted out

I have jsut parted out 24 copies of set 4776 Dragon Tower from the Duplo Castle series. Lots of cool parts in the set, including the very cool dragon itself as well as some oversized weapons and Duplo bricks in non-bright colors. You can view all of (...)   Re: Lego Train Factory - "preliminary wagon design"

(...) Thanks for finding the images. The wagon is much more complex that I expected. I had been looking at the Duplo wagons, expecting to be like them or very much juniorised. Will 5-7 year olds be able to build the wagons? I tell parents of young (...) (21 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Joe, The line certainly does have some cool stuff in it. I have two of each set just for me. I will add parts from the other sets as those sets go on clearance. Parting out full retail sets just is not feasible. I suspect it will be real soon (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, FTX)

Allister, I usually lurk, but the original post coupled with the recent trends out here begged for a satire. Of course there are holes in this position, the same holes Ondrew’s original has; let’s count them. 1) If I truly “don’t want to create a (...)   Sub-Parting

Making sub-parts is a very good method to keep file sizes down when large portions of code can be used twice or more times in the same part or in several parts. But my question is, how small can this code snippet be before it's better to not (...) (16 years ago, 2-Jan-11, to lugnet.cad)

OK, some annotations here: The history of the buildings can be sorted in three stages: First, there was an evil wizard, who had his castle and tower built in (and beyond) the rear (north) part of the inn. Nice as that MOC is, your best bet is probably to pick up the Metroliner set for $150 from SAH: (URL) you have the Metroliner, modifying it to the engine style you want should be a good exercise in creativity for you and your son. (...) I didn't attend that talk, but I did listen to it in MP3 form, and I didn't get that impression at all. (...) Ted, I think you've read into this incorrectly. From my understanding, TLC's goal is to have TWO train lines - one for "adults", and one for "young kids" (to bridge the gap between DUPLO trains and 9V). TLC has (hopefully) learned from its (...) Your Target may not have rolled out the new display today. Mine did. I found a refreshed display of 2005 sets today.   Re: Train motors half price via S@H weekly special

If LEGO does do an RC train, I suspect it would be made to go alongside the existing 9V train and be made as either a Duplo product or a Jack Stone/4+ type product. Such a product would compete with products like Fisher Price Geotrax (which, IIRC, (...) (21 years ago, 4-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)
