  Moonbase & 32x32 landing pads

As the size of the moonbase continues to increase it would seem to require support from larger spacecraft than those which would be accomodated by the "moon's surface"(48x48 plates). I wouldn't think there would be stripes painted on the surface:) (...) (22 years ago, 14-Aug-02, to lugnet.space)

  NXT to NXT communication?

Hi all you M[U|D]Ps I know most of the MDPs probably only have 1 NXT, but I'm hoping someone out there has 2, and has investigated NXT-NXT communication. Is it possible? How hard is it? I'm currently thinking Bluetooth, but is there any other way? (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Question about searching (for "2.1.4")

I was trying to find information about Steve Bliss' LDraw Add On program. It's version 2.1.4. When I did a search on the CAD newsgroups for 2.1.4 and "2.1.4" I got zero hits. So, I posted a question about the program in the CAD/Development group, (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: A primer on making custom elements

Hey, thanks for posting this, Norbert! It's very informative and well-written. I'm going to try the epoxy. I've tried a couple of hair pieces using a cut down motorcycle helmet as a base, but because I get a one-track mind about my hobby techniques (...)   Re: repost: chains1.dat

(...) OK, technically they are type-"5" lines now, but under super-magnification (zoom=20), they _still_ show up as if they were _regular_ lines (instead of _conditional_ lines). Please forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but I'd like to offer (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: 8460/8431 Changes

I was just looking at the original instructions for the 8460 on Brickshelf. I think what we are seeing in the picture is actually the 1x6 beam that holds the control cab onto the side of the turntable. The original has a 1x4 and 1x6 grey beam at the (...)   Re: Any Ideas= 8448 and 4 wheel steering?

(...) Hmm. I'm not a Technic-head, and I haven't actually sat down and played with the ABS to know how well this would work, but here goes an idea... In order to look right (and work well, I think), the pivot for the rear wheels need to be as close (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 32007b Tread

  Dragster race

Our third Italian Legofest featured a funny dragster race. In brief, the dragster had to be built using just Lego parts (except batteries), use up to 3 motors, 1 light sensor, and run at its best on a 5m distance delimited by black tape. The main (...)
