Re: BrickFest registration fees (was: LEGO Adult Fan Convention at Legoland California?)

I've been reading this dicussion, and have a few thoughts: First off, a consideration of what the event coordinator has to put in: - A fair bit of time, sure, not 1000s of hours (for one event), 1000s of hours is a full time job... Hundreds of hours (...) (19 years ago, 11-Sep-06, to lugnet.events, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: CBS (Clicking Brick Syndrome) Patch availible

(...) Well I have a retail set, and decided to try downloading the firmware via USB from the LEGO software, and you guessed it, I got clicking. So I pressed the reset button as they suggest, and tried downloading it again, the progress bars all (...) (19 years ago, 8-Sep-06, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

(...) Anthony, I think you may be underestimating the amount of time and effort that goes into putting something like this on. Maybe not literally thousands of hours for any one person, but for somebody like Christina or Joe and maybe others too, (...)   Re: Rusty Freight Car - an experiment

(...) Its getting there but I think you (I?) have set yourself an impossible task. Maybe some grey and bley and brown and brrown combos would help? One small thing tho, its not a freight car, its a loco! Tim (19 years ago, 5-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: LEGO Adult Fan Convention at Legoland California?

(...) I really have done some serious thinking about this whole convention thing-and here are some other thoughts. 1: What made this BrickFest possible at the venue at which it was held was the fact that if a certain number of rooms were booked, the (...)   Re: What does a subpart with color=24 mean?

Okay... that makes sense. But what if the contrast color for the current file's main color is just an RGB value rather than a color index? What should the subfile's contrast color be set to in that case? Thank you for your help, by the way. >> Mark (...) (19 years ago, 5-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Shop - how to run?

(...) Some suggestions, as they come out of my mind. Bricklink: if you want to setup a new Lego store, then BrickLink is probably the best choice. It's cheap enough, and gives you a lot of ready-to-use features that otherwise you should create from (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.pt, lugnet.loc.it)

Remedy to LDAO 2.1.4 Full Install

I want to really apologize for this mess, I hope I didn't affect *too* many people. The severity and underlying causes of this disaster are going to make me think long and hard about scrapping LDAO, and rewriting it in a better development system. I (...)   Re: Value of incomplete 6075-2 original yellow castle?

Thanks for your help. That's honestly about what I expected; I would've been (pleasantly) surprised if it was worth substantially more. The good thing here is that the pieces that are missing are, for the most part, very "standard" and are not some (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-06, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Value of incomplete 6075-2 original yellow castle?

Hi Caleb, The castle itself without any stickers, figures, or flag is worth $35-40. On occasion the price will go higher. Having the several figures and accessories helps. Unfortunately you are missing the 4 grey space helms ($10 each) and the 4 (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-06, to lugnet.castle)
