| | Bricklink Forums, home of the 1/2 truth!
|
| Howdy all. I woke up this morning to a pile of emails from people! Including one from the new store. So I can cut and paste too. So here is my response to the 1/2 truths of The Bricklink Forum. Funny, if I post this in bricklink (well I am not (...) (15 years ago, 26-Mar-10, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: 7470 Space Shuttle Discovery Review
|
| Lego has done space shuttles for surprisingly many times. When I was putting up this newly released 7470, I could not help but compare it with that legendary 8480. (You see, even the set numbers share the same pattern. :-) (...) Yeah. It does not (...) (21 years ago, 27-Oct-03, to lugnet.reviews)

| | New Year, no real sales
|
| No LEGO in the Walmart, Target, Superstore, Sears, or Canadian Tire flyers this week. Canadian Tire and Walmart have a bunch of large plastic bins (useful for storage or transport?) on sale. I was in a Walmart on New Years eve that had six boxes of (...) (10 years ago, 2-Jan-15, to lugnet.loc.ca)

| | Re: The future of LDraw?

| (...) To my knowledge, this is really the only place to discuss LDraw in a manner other than 'check out my MOC in LDraw'. All, or nearly all of the developers (and hopefully future developers) are here. LUGNET also contains the searchable history of (...) (15 years ago, 26-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad)

|
| (...) That is a Pre-School brick. Made only by Samsonite, and only in two sets that I know of. Set 041 only had white & red bricks. (URL) blue one came in set 503 which had yellow, red, white, and blue. That set isn't listed on Lugnet, but here's a (...) (21 years ago, 22-Oct-03, to lugnet.general)

| | Does LDD's LDraw importer actually work?
|
| I recently had a Bricksmith user write asking for help importing an LDraw file into LDD. (He was using LDraw because LDD made it very difficult to build his model.) But when he attempts to import the LDraw file, he sees at most the first brick of (...) (15 years ago, 22-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

| In lugnet.cad, Tore Eriksson wrote a big lengthy post. Maybe we could have a chat channel for LDraw? I myself would suggest of creating an IRC channel for users to sit, ask help for and just chat in. As LDraw itself is free software (even though (...) (15 years ago, 22-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) I've been using LDraw for about 8 months now (as a very casual user), and it's taken quite a while to get into it. I'm mainly using MLCAD to create/edit models and using POV-Ray to render stuff. Here's my take on it... I think the key thing is (...) (15 years ago, 23-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad)
