RE: Booth monitors (look and feel)

Actually, John Neal ("J-2") ( johnneal@uswest.net ) is the GMLTC person to contact. He runs a tshirt screening business out of his home, and has contacts for embroidering shirts. He could probably give you estimated costs, timeframes, etc... I think (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: A couple of pictures of the GMLTC layout at Carlsbad

(...) Cool. Thanks for the uploads... Looks like not all the modules went? Much of the yard seems missing (the distance between the car shop (grey building on left) and roundhouse (red building on right) seems somewhat shorter than when at the NMRA. (...) I personally think you are doing that to not be outdone by the "other" LegoModular style LTC. God knows you would never hear the end of it if your layout was still stuck on 6 wide while ours was running 8 wides without any problems. Mike Poindexter (...) Here it is without the powerpoint formatting, as LUGNET will not accept it with it: S.F. (...) Haha! Anyone who KNOWS me will know that Lego don't want me. In fact I refrained from wearing my "model citizen" staff name tag at Legoland in fear that my presence would prevent the GMLTC from ever being invited back! Trust me, what I'm going (...)   Re: NMRA show (the first of many?)

(...) I think at the last GATS show we asked for and received $400. (Some shows also have competition between the layouts, with prize money for the winners.) We asked for the money guaranteed, and were still eligible for the prize money. Other shows (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) We had to leave the two middle sections of the train yard home, because we had no way to ship them. For the uninitiated: The layout is usually 45" longer (left-to-right). Each section is 45" long by 30/35/40" deep. The pictures are showing 14 (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  What's up PNLTC?

PNLTC members, There has not been any news recently on the PNLTC/LEGO Guinness record event in Seattle, Washington. What’s going on, is there anything new to report? Did you (PNLTC) get all of the ambassador boxcar and containers from GMLTC? What (...) (24 years ago, 6-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains)

(...) Wow, that's an open-ended question! I'll throw in my 2cents worth. The GMLTC does 4 to 6 shows a year. We'd like to do more, but nearly every show we do costs us money - we very seldom make enough to cover show expenses. Especially the 'out of (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
