Great posts( was Re: Apathy? (was: WAMALUG's GATS Layout was a huge success!)

I hate "me too" posts but what an excellent post. If we ever get to excluding people who love the brick just because they love it in a different way, we've failed. Just because castle isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean I can't hurt my jaw in amazement (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.trains.org)

  train meeting on the 12th

Hi, I haven't been able to attend the meetings in the past because of other commitmants. Could I come to your meeting this Sunday? My train collection is meager compared to those shown by other members, mostly mine consists of stock items but I'm (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Does anyone know of something like LUGNET, but for G-Scale Trains

No, but if it's any consolation, I am building 14 stud wide trains which are G scale (1:29). I think LGB is something like 1:22.5... No pics yet-- I will have some after the GMLTC show in La Crosse:-) -John (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Palm Tree Junior

(...) The only good thing about that tree is that minifigure hands can hold onto the trunk. You can have monkeys climbing the palm trees! Does that make it worth keeping? I guess that's up to you... ;-) JohnG, GMLTC (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) I hope GATS decides to do this, we almost always had a crowd at our table. Greenberg is also very interested in getting more LEGO layouts into their shows. (...) I am amazed at our amazing start as well, we came a long way since August. Here's (...) (25 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Not LEGO, but trains( $$$ for 2200 foot loop of track)

(...) <snip> (...) But by having electrically isolated lengths of track, you could start one train, and once it had moved onto the next section of track you could start another one. We could easily have ten trains running at once. JohnG, GMLTC (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  lugnet.org.castle.castle-world?

OK. Something that came out of a recent debate was that there is at least one person besides me who has decreased activity in lugnet.castle due to the preponderance of Castle World posts. Therefore, I'd like to propose that Castle World get it's own (...) (25 years ago, 7-Mar-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.castle)

(...) That's awesome! It would be even awesomer if it fit my 2048 x 1536 desktop. 800x600 stretched to 2048x1536 starts looking like a mosaic itself. The recursive mosaic thing just hurts my head. :-) Derek (21 years ago, 13-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)
