That is an excellent quote! It shows how much respect all the LTCs around the
world are starting to get from the 'old-school' model railroading community!
When the GMLTC was at last year's NMRA 'National' show, we got nothing but
good responses from the 'traditional' model railroaders. We even had the
president of the NMRA stop by our layout to compliment us on it! He said one
of their concerns was getting more young people into model trains, and that
LEGO trains would be the perfect way to bring more kids into the hobby.
Now, maybe he was thinking that at some age they would abandon LEGO for more
traditional trains, but from the tone of his voice I don't think he was
implying that at all. His respect seemed very genuine - and he seemed like a
heck of a nice guy!
Best of luck at your show, have a great time!
