Please see the FAQ for the answer to the adapter question: (URL) the L1, that substitution may or may not work. try it; if your motors don't work right, it could be that. Fred In your message you said: (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jul-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

1. when you say "lights stay on," are you specifically referring to the SER and PWR LEDs by the two buttons? because the motor LEDs may be on or off, it doesn't matter, before the bootstrap download. 2. assuming yes, you are talking about SER and (...)   Re: sensor connectors

2 pins are power and 2 are ground. It's made that way so the connector can go in several ways. You can reverse motor direction just by turning the power connector at either end. LegoCork@aol.com (26 years ago, 27-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Stickers are a big foul in my Lego collection. I give them to my 5yr old for his Legos. Using them kinda ruins pieces for further ideas b/c they may not match the theme you are trying to create. I don't know... This is just my feelings on stickers. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Update on the expansion board.

Hi. The beta testers are still discovering issues, so I'm not ready to release the design just yet. I'm particularly waiting for results of multi-servo testing. But, it appears that the basic design is sound, and only minor rework (if any) will be (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jul-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: speed of the board

the other issue that should be mentioned re: changing clock speed is that it messes up the baud rate of the serial communications. if you plan to use interactive C, would have re-assemble the pcode program with a different baud rate constant, to (...) there is probably some other circuit on your board that is drawing too much power. put your finger on the other chips and see if any of them is hot (there shouldn't be any). if necessary, remove all socketed chips to see if you can get the (...) the advise of turning off the serial port under NT was only to enable using the IC DOS apps. if you are using contemporary software tools, then it is not necessary to do so. just access the serial port according to the recommended manner. fred In (...)   Pitsco Catalog

I'm severly disapointed with Pitsco... I recieved their catalog today and there is NOTHING in it for Robolab or Mindstorms, not even a mention of it in the 150+ pages. Is this just my imagination or did they leave something out? (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic Tanks

Try using a Coke bottle w/small brass fitting siliconed in the cap. Secure it to the robot (invention) w/rubber bands for easy removal. It takes a while to fill it but that's a lot of air for use. Good luck. (26 years ago, 5-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  RcxCC Joystick controls

Is there any way to make the joystick control of RcxCC2.0 work with just 1 motor. Some of us havn't had the $$$ to get a 3rd motor just yet. Even if I did have a 3rd, I'd use it for extra speed or some other gilley-friggy-thingy not yet thought of. (26 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
