Re: any idea if radar can be used with the rcx?

I work at a Mercedes-Benz dealership and checked into the pricing of the radar in the new 2000 S-Class... Retail, $4300!! Just for the control unit, all the other gizmos needed total to about $1500. Guess that puts radar cost into perspective. Might (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Electric leads

I believe the 2 middle lengths are from Minstorms RIS. The longer ones are used in the 8480 Space Shuttle and the very short ones came in the Minstorms expansions (ie: Robo Sports and Extreme Creatures) as well as the smaller Z-nap sets.   Re: Batteries again, sorry

you're almost right. if you plugged a nimh pack into the HB's charge jack, the external pack would charge the internal batteries. but it would not power the board significantly. this is because the HB's charge jack includes a current-limit resistor (...)   Re: Capacitor on Sonar Board

look on the polaroid board itself. it has (or used to, anyhow) a blank space where you could mount a component that is labeled "C7". the cap goes there. if you absolutely cannot find a spot on the polaroid board labeled C7, they must have updated (...)   Re: 9v motor dying

In playing... I accidentaly discovered a way to break in and loosen up neew engines. Using a battery box from my 8480 shuttle... The torqe is incredible. But do be careful, short runs only. That much amperage is a bit warm. Fred (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: where can I get airplane parts in black?

I would tend to think he's reffering to parts used in wings. Like those in the 8480 Space Shuttle. Technic sloped beams, small bevel gears for flaps and such. Fred (24 years ago, 1-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

Mark, I'm afraid that once you get on the Handy Board mailing list, the only way you can get off is to build a Handy Board, and then use a secret code to get disconnected.
