Re: Need building tips for a church

(...) Yes, it is (crossposting to .building and .general would be appropriate as well) (...) Wow, that is a beautiful church (note the spelling:-) (...) Well, when I build from real life, I use anything and everything I can to help me recreate my (...) (19 years ago, 16-Dec-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Got balls? Heads up.

After seeing the great ball moving into more and more train layouts... the "soccer" balls, seem a bit .... uh "strange" for lack of a better word. After a bit of group discussion, I was looking for a Lego substitute... Technic Ball Joints? Black or (...) (19 years ago, 15-Dec-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: Narnia

Well as promised I have the pictures uploaded. This is a display that I built for a Christmas party I'm having next week. At the left it goes from the Professor's house into Narnia, then to the river with the Beavers' dam, and finally the Thaw, with (...) (19 years ago, 15-Dec-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Exporting Minifig to Maya - edgy model

(...) It's certainly theoretically possible to convert much of the geometry with high polygon counts. LDraw primitives are such that a smart converter can use aribtrary complexity for cylinders, spheres, tori, etc. Having said that, it doesn't sound (...)   Narnia

Well after having seen the movie, I got inspired to do some more Narnian Lego stuff. I have a few more stickers that I've done. And in a couple of days I should have pictures of The spare room with the wardrobe, the professor’s office, Narnian (...) (19 years ago, 14-Dec-05, to lugnet.castle)

Re: New project: minifig scale walking dragline

(...) Bravo! A dragline is a great project & I can't wait to see this one progress. Are you modeling it on a specific real-world machine? Post more WIP pictures as you build, I really like to see how MOC's come together. Ben (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Exporting Minifig to Maya - edgy model

(...) Sorry for the smartypants non-answer, but you'd probably find it easier going to just model the minifg in Maya to begin with. I think someone even had a tutorial on how to do this somewhere, though I can't remember the link offhand. Maybe it (...) (19 years ago, 30-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) Il minifig è quasi perfetto. Perchè non fare il torso (solo il torso, le maniche devono restare blu) bianco con un piccolo logo itLug sul petto? Riprenderebbe lo stile delle magliette... Ciao Luca (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)
