Hi,
This is my next large model: I won't be surprised if it takes a year to complete
it...
So far I've come up with a design for a 64 stud diameter slew ring (using
monorail track) and a design for the feet. You can find some pictures in this
gallery: http://wegmuller.org/v-web/gallery/Lego_Walking_Dragline
I will add some pictures as the build progress. More in depth commentary will be
included in my blog/main page: http://www.wegmuller.org
Greetings,
David Wegmuller

| (...) I don't envy you, building a walking drag line mechanism. All that weight on two linkages and their bearing surfaces. Good luck anyway. I'm sure a lot of .Technic readers have though of building a large dragline. Steve (19 years ago, 24-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) Bravo! A dragline is a great project & I can't wait to see this one progress. Are you modeling it on a specific real-world machine? Post more WIP pictures as you build, I really like to see how MOC's come together. Ben (19 years ago, 28-Nov-05, to lugnet.technic)
