  What happened to Ldraw Add-On?

Hey Y'all: My first downloaded copy of LDraw Add-On appears to have been corrupted and wouldn't install. When I went to Ldraw.org, all the links to Ldraw Add-On were dead. What's up? -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 1-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Anyone Working on These Parts?

Hey Y'all: These are some parts I'd like to author. Don't know if anyone is working on them since Tore's Parts Tracker seems to be dead and I didn't know where else to look. If anyone is working on these items I'd be pleased to hear of it so that (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Perhaps Lugnet can grow into something better? was: I miss the old Lugnet

In lugnet.general, Bram Lambrecht writes: <lil' snip> (...) Yes, you hit it dead on with those comments. There are many builders (myself included) who simply have yet to learn all they can from other people's experience (some because of being (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)

  Re: CRAP![snip]

(...) I think that there is a distinction, however small, between JAL's post and Matt's post. I don't want to get in to that though - I don't feel that it's constructive. The thing about Matt's post that I find offensive is the subject line. A (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Getting into Lego CAD (was Re: S/973p40a.dat ???)

(...) Soon perhaps... I don't yet think of myself as competent to do anything but play around with this stuff -- at least for now. I had one failed attempt to get into the CAD aspect of the hobby last year sometime, but have only truly begun to mess (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Lugnet can always grow; it's up to us to make it happen.

(...) Not necessarily. I didn't do it to make the point (which would have been wayyy off topic), I did it to imply that I was saying kudos. I think you're right that it's abstract; I should have put it in scare quotes, but I dislike them enough that (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Are only official Pirate sets allowed? I would like to use this ship I built for more than gathering dust and dead bees. (URL) also have a Pirate display in my comic shop. Here are some real crummy pics. (URL) (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Bram has hit it squarely, as has Jake. Put the two voices together and you get three main ideas... Ldraw should be: 1. Simple to Download 2. Simple to install 3. Simple to understand (i.e. DOCUMENTATION) I would pull back from Jake's request to the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)
