Re: Not at all a pact with the devil... (values of TLC)

(...) sorry to jump into this thread a week later. I'm basically in lugnet.trains and at www.1000steine.de/forum/ [snip] (...) This point has been discussed in the German community alot. I think most Germans are of the opinion that TLC really has a (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  Re: ballast

(...) René has done something similar at our FGLTC event: he used black bricks for ballast and brown bricks for sleepers. Best of this was the sound effect: when the 100++waggons train passed this section of track it gave a increased sound. I was (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Sword fighting robots

(...) I suppose you could use the IR transmitter and light sensor as a rangefinder. Quite a few people have succeeded in getting range measurements using that scheme. If the target is a known colour, that'll make it easier. If the two robots take it (...) (22 years ago, 21-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Technic's Dead (was: I need Technic)

Interesting, but not actually relevant to technic being dead. I've got to say, that even with the new technic liftarms being cheap(er) to produce, that doesn't explain why lego are suddenly making the bionicle bodies and arms- these super (...) (22 years ago, 10-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: rtlToronto, the Road Ahead/VM Questions

Matt, Some good questions here. I'd add the following: a hospital or similar venue almost certainly has a contract to a vending machine operator. We'd be in violation of any such contract if we vend thing for cash. I'm not sold on the most-cash-wins (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
