  Re: My Gun Control Rant

I've held out of this one but must reiterate these points. (...) There are two main threads when arguing in favor of gun ownership. Tim is going down one thread: that there are legitimate reasons for owning guns besides the one for which they are (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Interesting audio puzzle

(...) No it was just me, but the "hot" spots were definitely on the floor. In some I could rock very slightly and turn on/off the sound. They were also within a few feet of the subwoofer so it seems like there would have to be some real complex wave (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) Agreed. The whole "virus on the web" thing on the web site doesn't really make sense. "Bikes with human brains" is passible, but there's no particular reason for it either. The dudes on the wheels is just to give us something else to buy again (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

(...) Ah, ok. The AK and the AR-15's, are not designed to kill, that's right. NO, they are designed to maim- how could I forget reading the info that 5.56 is based on?   Re: SuperTrain 2001 layout - Switching Yard

I agree with John, that it would be best if you had atleast two separate loops of track. (I still like Chris' "law" that the continuous loop(s) not run along the branch of a switch.) With a layout that size, if only one locomotive can run at a time, (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.trains)

Re: Plans to include LCAD or TLG part numbers on inventroy entries?

(...) The problem there is that the inventories at (URL) are pretty much static/dead data at this point. It's an area that's unlikely to get updated. I believe some of the inventories have been converted (with permission obtained from the list (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.cad.dev)

Mostly agree so mostly snipped. (...) Matter of semantics? I'm not a good enough bluffer to use a realistic toy in a standoff, so I bought something that's capable of killing, not just a BB gun or pea shooter. I need to have the real thing behind my (...) I'm glad I finally got my 1.5 version RIS this year. When the MS "enhanced" 2.0 kit arrives, my robots will act like brain-dead zombies, bashing into skirting boards and inexplicably locking up every five minutes. Now they'll have to invent a (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
