Re: A Tweak to the Lego Legends Idea - Inovation

677 is not a THEME, it's simply a neat Minifig Pack. (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Misnomer: we are all Lego collectors!

I would just like to clarify a point here: we are all Lego collectors. Lego refers to us that way, we behave like classic collectors, and there is nothing wrong with being a Lego collector! Look at all the catalogs and Lego Mania magazines. They are (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Worth the wait? (NO!)

(...) I agree with you on all points above. My problem is, I have no money!!! Releasing classic sets for original price, plus inflation (and not all of it) is great. I am afraid they are going to produce more classic sets I don't have and then I (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Worth the wait? (NO!)

(...) I think the rerelease of old sets can be a step towards better new sets. One of the reasons I always wished LEGO would put out old sets is that it would raise the bar for current sets. I like to think that once people are exposed to older, (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Fair enough. (...) Yeah, because I *do* make a distinction between the deadly force perpetrated by both sides. The Israelis desire to root out and kill *terrorists*-- the fact that these cowardly scumbags hide in and among the civilian (...) (22 years ago, 24-Mar-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) Tom - Yes! Thats exactly the point I was trying to make but I missed the boat!! All the other Lego Castle Kits were issued as a 'series' so that if you started collecting Lego within any given year you can buy different sets of similar style (...) Hello! (...) Of course it is! Why do you think would anybody sell $200 to get a #6067? To complete their collection only. If you want to play you can build way better MOCs! You don't need a set that costs several hundreds $$. (...) I couldn't agree (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) I'm on the phone with an operator now (on hold). They're apparently out of backorder stock! Amazing! How many of you guys ordered 50+ of these babies, anyway? ;-) Wait...wait...no biggie after all, I was still able to order some, and they're (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Yah, I as well. I'll probably order two Guarded Inns (URL) now, and mayhap two more later! At $36.24 Canadian its not too bad price wise. The exciting part isn’t solely that we castle-heads receive a long awaited set, but that this item is but (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Tim, rest assured no more 4558 purchases for me...I'm still looking for a 4547 Club Car.... ....and (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) That's just silly. I have no problem calling it terrorism. Any tactic designed primarily to inspire fear (or "shock and awe?") is a terrorist tactic. I still stand behind the notion that terrorism sometimes makes good sense. My verbiage was (...) (22 years ago, 23-Mar-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: And the July Surprise is...

I too am happy about the Legends series. It is great that LD is making so many people happy. But I still want expanded Bulk Orders.
