(18 years ago, 8-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug, FTX)

| | Moonbase
| Hi. It's been awhile. From what I've seen, Moonbase is more or less dead, and more or less dead at Lego conventions. I suspect that like a lot of building trends, it may have just run its course...which is fine. But I've always felt bad about (...) |
| (...) So long as there are even a handful of us building Moonbase, it's not dead. Not by a longshot. I always admired your site, Jon. One day I tried to access it and it was not there. I hadn't realized it had been hacked, of course. But oh, was it (...) (15 years ago, 13-Aug-09, to lugnet.space)

| (...) Yes, that is easy, the display & keys unit can be unplugged. You'd only have to resolder the two speaker wires. (...) Yes. It doesn't make much sense to swap the motherboard, because without the LCD/keyboard and the motherboard the rest is (...) (15 years ago, 25-Jul-09, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

| Wow! These gaps are wide enough to push coins of any size through! (URL) Jan Beyer of LEGO told at 1000steine, that all trains will look like this and he gave a (lame?) explanation, that there are limitations in designing the single-piece-mould, (...) | | refurbishing dead NXT's
| We have about 54 NXT sets. Our oldest ones, purchased just as soon as the sets were available, are now 3 years old. After about 100 running hours, they are finally giving up the ghost. Some have bad ports, others have no displays, and two are all (...) (15 years ago, 22-Jul-09, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

| | Re: Another Legend dies....
| (...) The collector mentality is nothing but Magpie-ism and pandering to it with 'rare' 'limited series' 'numbered editions' and other marketing goop is just plain icky. A set that isn't torn down and built into something else is a misfit toy. The (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

| Seems I was not the only one to leave this place. :( Can't see how flickr and possibility to edit posts and masking mail-addresses can be the reason for this. Does not matter if the system is slightly flawed if the crowd and quality of builds and (...) (15 years ago, 16-Jul-09, to lugnet.general, FTX)

The juniorization (or simplification to a level of near brain dead builders) of the building instructions is a whole new area for discussion and one that can certainly generate a lot of comments in both directions.
