Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Without going too far down the 'I remember when' line. We all agree colour and colour range are an important aspect (even if the word is incorrectly spelt). Too me the Lego colours have also been a source of the charm of the product. The simple (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  I don't like it!

I think it's bad idea whose karmic boomerang will come back at TLG in more ways than I think any of us can now predict. 1. Compatibility no longer exists. I hope the Consumers Affairs division is ready to handle the increase in complaints. 2. Any (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

<snip> Jake, Thanks for actively bringing up this topic. When I heard that colors were being replaced, it was like a punch in the stomach for me. I have been a LEGO fan, collector, builder, and proponent for much of my life. (I am 26, and have been (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

(...) My take on the issue: For the new grey, the change is rather subtle and unless put right next to eachother I don't see much problems with using the color in new models I will make together with the old grey. For the new dark grey however (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

The main reasons i do not like this color change: 1. They don't match the old ones. 2. When mixed, the old ones look like degradaded with time. The old light grey seem too much yellowed and i hate yellowed parts. (see this post: (URL) Storing will (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Hi Jake. Thanks for asking. This is my first post in regards to this topic, although I feel very strongly about it. My biggest concern is that this is an omen of things to come. After producing these colors for over twenty years, they are changed so (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  Disregard Dead Board

The problem was isolated to a bad LCD display. This was accomplished by using the pcode file contributed by Kent (which doesn't require the display to be present while the board is on.) Special thanks to Gleason Research for finding/isolating this (...) (27 years ago, 20-Jan-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi everybody, I don't know if anyone still reading this since the last post here was 8 monthes ago, anyway I was yesterday in the chat with Jake Mckee (his nick name is Sink) from LEGO and this is what he said: [architect] ok, Yaron [Webrain] Hi (...)   Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

(...) Hi, I am in the camp that likes the new colors, and I think the new light grey may be better than the old. But then, I have a pretty large collection of the old colors, and for what I do with LEGO, it's all I should need going forward. For me, (...)   Re: 12V and 9V on same track footprint

I've also been considering (as I believe many people have), the ways in which 12V and 9V trains might run together. Slotting the 12V conductor rails into 9V track seems the most obvious solution, but there are two major problems; it doesn't work for (...) (22 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

Okay, so for next year, let's review: 1. On or around April 1st, someone may post astonishing news/pictures on LUGNET. 2.
