  Re: You get to choose!

(...) Alright! Let's see some space! (or on the contrary, something cool at that:) I'm just hoping the next Legend will diversify the Legend's series. Then Lego Direst's product line will be a *bit* more stellar. Just my two brickz... <<_Matt (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: legend choices

(...) That's the thing, I s'pose. There are those who want legends so they can stick it in an alcove, build a shrine and surround it with burning incense sticks, and then there are those of us who just consider them as glorified parts-packs. Since I (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Yes, I would agree...the legends and re-issues are all super. They are the ONLY new sets (other than a few Star Wars and Harry Potter sets) that I have purchased since '97. LEGO, are you listening? Like many others, I have spent thousands of $$ in (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

my thoughts on a technic legend

Based on how things have gone before and what I know about the market for "big technic" I can recomment these attributes for a technic legend: 1.should cost <$100 us (when it was first released anyway) Anything more than that would have a more (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Unfair to compare Battrax to other Legend choices!

(...) TLC could certainly make a new mold. But Legends sets come from a specific group within LEGO's organization. And that group does NOT currently have the clout to create new molds. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) That would be cool, though! Looks a lot better than the current visor design. (...) Oh, great! Yeah, the subject is confusing enough, but I guess that's why older sets usually aren't considered to become Legends, IMO. <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

So I'm not the only one.... that's a bit of a relief. My two cents on the choice of five sets? I couldn't care less! Why are they all minifig sets again? My choices for legends: Constellation, what can I say? But it has to be with the original (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

  You get to choose!

Working for LEGO Direct is always fun, but every once in a while a project comes along that just makes me giddy when I get to come here and announce it. Today, such an announcement is made.   Re: legends/re-releases

(...) I agree these sets are some of the best basic sets that were put out. I would also like to add 720 to the line-up. Another good source for parts, including 2 white "warehouse" doors and 4 red door "runners" for the doors. All in all, very (...) (...) Yeah I pretty much voted the same way you voted, Aaron, as I feel the same way about the sets in question. I'm crazy about castle too, so I'd get multiple copies of 6074 for the grey bricks, walls, and corners. And those minifigs! I only have (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Woo-hoo! FWIW, my thoughts on the choices: 1. Yellow Castle. This was my vote without hesitation. All bricks, no panels! This is true building. As the set that began the castle theme, this is a legend. I'm not worried about some changes as some have (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) Yeah. I agree. There's some good stuff online, and hey, I've grown up with late 1990's and 2000's Legos, and I'm doing fine. If you can afford it, try bricklink or ebay! Parts are doing pretty good this year: lots of sets with nice parts. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.people)
