  Re: 740 Transformer in grey

(...) I just know about grey ones, but so far nobody was sure about, if it is extra old or maybe the youngest generation of 740. Some people even guessed this could have been the version for window displays at toy shops (You find hundreds of glued (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: MOC: Wizard's Tower

(...) I love your model Chris! The shelves with the books are nice and the wizards messy workingroom is really lovely. But of course my eyes have been fixed longest time on the tree: that is in fact georgeous! Have you thought about sending a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle)

Re: ISCC ENTRY: "Bessie" steam locomotive

(...) Thanks John! You really have come with a brilliant first train MOC site into lugnet trains. I especially love your way to put the train in scene. You are a great photographer too (and I think your camera is much better than mine). That (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  ISCC (mini-)entry: pirates

Hi all! Ok, it's just a mini-entry - which took not more than 4 hours from beginning of building to sending it in - but maybe you like it.... Check out at: (URL) Godt! Ben -- check out -- be creative -- win 500 $$ -- (URL) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.general)

  Re: ISCC (mini-)entry: pirates

(...) These 1x6x5 panels (left hand in the picture) with bricks and green are from Harry Potter (Hagrids Hut and/or Forbidden Corridor). I bought both sets on Saturday and used lots of the parts for my pirates scenery. Do you recognise the shackles? (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: ISCC (mini-)entry: pirates

(...) Yes right! I was glad they come in pairs: I have the sets mentioned before (4707, 4706) plus the Hogwarts Express. BTW: I really can recommend Hagrids Hut. In my opinion much better than the Forbidden Corridor. The corridor is just nice (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Anyone Else Missing Town?

(...) Yeah, these are all great sets. I have always wanted <set: 6668> as well. If they offered the smaller sets you've listed here as legends, I'd buy a few. My feeling about town (or building with Lego in general) is 'build your own'. I have seen (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Anyone Else Missing Town?

(...) Well they have had the odd town set since then. But I guess some of the subthemes they want us to pass for town...like Race, Life on Mars, etc. We have the 2 newest lego Legends, but these are re-issues, along with the Gas N Wash Express (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: ISCC (mini-)entry: pirates

If the set had regular sloped pieces instead, I bet the price would have been twice at high (that would have been a bad set then). If the set had (...) (...) No, I don't believe that's your point. If that were your point, I'd expect you to be equally annoyed with DUPLO, the Mickey Mouse sets, Jack Stone, etc. If you're against Legends because they're not valueable to you, so what? Ben & All, (...) In a way, yes. But I think the last decent year IMO was 1996. 1997 and the launch of Town Junior (a.k.a. City Center) was the end of decent sets that were released. The lst few years, with the exception of sub-themes like RES-Q and (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)
