  Re: 10183 Hobby Train Question

(...) Maybe I did not make myself clear. I have already built the main model, or what I call the main model, seen here: (URL) am wondering if there is another model that I can build with the extra parts that are left over. (17 years ago, 19-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) Thanks for the explanitation. I still would think that if the supplier of the pellets starts off with a clear plastic and then adds color, it would be the same for Flextronics starting with a clear plastic and adding color to make the pellets.   Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) Thanks, it is starting to clear things up for me. Would a solution be to make the bricks from one batch, or at least put bricks into the box from the same mixture?   Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) John, Adding color dye to clear ABS is like taking a bowl of flour, and adding food coloring to it. You will find that as you mix the flour, some of the flour will wind up being tinted a little darker than other areas. It depends on your (...) (17 years ago, 15-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)

Re: Articulation with "working" connecting rods

(...) Bit of a blast from the past, but I kinda didn't get around to doing any of this and forgot all about it until (URL) Cale's Y6b> put it back in my mind. I'd not thought of building a 9-wide before, but it certainly gives the loco a "muscular" (...) (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Lugnet - the talk-back radio of the world of Lego?

(...) Yes, but it's not clear if everything aimed at the adult market has been successful. Dan Siskind's Blacksmith's Shop was the "first" of the My Own Creation series, but was there ever a second one? While I think most of us would agree, it was a (...)   BrikWars part XII: A Game of Thrones II

Ever since the most recent BrikWars game, Shaun, Joe, Mike, and I have been discussing various issues with the BrikWars rules in general, particularly the Supernatural Powers supplement. Interesting points raised. As to LEGO quality not decreasing, and us just noticing it… I don’t buy that at all. I don’t ever remember stacking new bricks (even a few years ago) of the same color atop one another and seeing clear color differences. (...) (17 years ago, 12-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)
