Re: Why Java for Robots (was NXT and bluetooth enabled phones)

(...) Why do you say that? I thought we were discussing Java on robotics. You said Java for small robots was not practical. I presented our system as but one implementation which works. (...) That's the total *available* memory. The JVM is in (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Bruce (...) Ermm. How much does a NXT have? No doubt you think that everyone should buy one of your systems but far more NXTs will be sold. Lookng at the posts on other robotics newsgroups, I reckon that over 90% of home-made robots do not have (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Looking for a cord...

Hi, all, We have an old Lego Dacta kit with SO many parts I hate to give it up. But we need the interface cord between the card in our old Apple II GS and the black power/controller box. Any chance of finding/busying one? Thanks, Doug Clements (19 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.lego.dacta)

Re: Where do you keep your Lego?

Gee, after reading all this suddenly I'm happy with my modest collection. Only 100 sets, all sorted in a variety of boxes. They're in a little pile in the attic, and I just take them down at times. I guess my style is a bit like Jennifer's, except I (...) (24 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general)

What about a piece of masonite backed whiteboard that can be purchased at Home Depot, with tape on it and then use whiteboard pens and an eraser?
