  LEGO 7996 and 9V

Hi, I was just wondering - has anyone yet considered whether there might be a way to "9voltify" the LEGO 7996 set (switched rail crossing)? I mean, there we do have a very useful piece of track, however it is only usable for RC trains so far. What (...) (17 years ago, 31-Dec-07, to lugnet.trains)

Is there a need for a live Acronym FAQ?

Hiya folks, Was googling myself (uch, nasty habit(1)) today and saw that I haven't touched the acronym FAQ in over two years. My inclination is always to do a quick search on the word "acronym" and see if anyone needs new updates, but the matter of (...) (17 years ago, 30-Dec-07, to lugnet.faq, FTX) !!

Re: Individual Power-Functions elements now available

(...) Actually it works as a PF extension wire AND as a PF to old 9V converter. One end is PF on top and bottom, the other is PF on top, 9V on bottom. This allows to connect a PF motor on a RCX (not recommended for XL motor since it draws a lot of (...) (17 years ago, 27-Dec-07, to lugnet.technic)

Please, TLG, just one part, JUST ONE! Pretty please?

I've been dreaming of a Classic Space-themed, multi-colored trans-dome space station for years now, and all I need is this part: Panel 10 x 10 x 12 Corner = (URL) in trans-red. Ok, so I guess I'm in a strange old world naming mood this holiday season. Inspired by Siggurd's mini-quad (URL) decided to make a small octopod using small pistons. It uses two small pistons per switch, chained together as a 3 segment inchworm. (...) (17 years ago, 26-Dec-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.announce.moc)

OK, I had to post this in rtl because I confess the main inspiration for this was watching Ian's amazing LEGO industrial P&P automations over the years.
