Re: So why all the whining about the color changes?

(...) Too True Dave. General Comments/Rants 1. There is another side to the "color doesn't match well with my collection theory" and that is that a) I don't think Lego cares about AFOL's in general or their mounds of bricks to start off with b) I (...) (...) Yeah, I was there on Saturday. It was just.. weird. (...) Well, I wonder if they're cleaning it too. The bricks get pretty faded in the sunlight. (...) Wow. (...) That's what I was wondering about as well. I know it's technically off-season, (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.events.brickswest)

Re: So why all the whining about the color changes?

(...) Sometimes when things don't go our way, we like to yell as loud as we can in the hopes that 'the gods may be listening....' Eh, I've never been one to 'shake my fist' at the injustice of it all... waittaminit, I have, but I wouldn't get my (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) First, I'll say this is not a flame at Terry. Everyone is allowed their opinion, and if nothing else, he's letting it be known. Now, having said that, I have to side with Jake. He has been taking heat for this the entire time, even though I'll (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping, FTX)

I'm no longer proud to be an AFOL!

Hi Allen! I've spend 0 Euro for LEGO this year. Normally in the last years I usually spend 1200 Euro a year. And I will continue this, because I don't need nor want discoloured bricks. I have many hobbies and like many other AFOLs I use my money now (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

After reading about continued losses and seeing various moves to improve market share and such, I offer a few of my own humble observations.   Re: 6 new bulk packs at S@H

Anyone noticed that if ordered in bulk, these new items do not qualify for the bulk pricing that applies to most of the brick and plate bulk packs? I think the best suggestion is to vote with you wallet. Don't order any of these and let Lego (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Oh hell yes... :) That's why downloading is really today's technology (as you would probably agree Lar). CDs and DVDs are so "yesterday". But often people seem to still prefer them... I guess old habits die hard. By using a download , it's a (...) (12 years ago, 14-Aug-12, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) Chiming in late, but then my biggest concerns are only just arising.... New colors good - retiring old staple colors bad. That said, while it may change things, it's not something I'll discontinue my hobby over. In fact, I'm looking forward to (...) (21 years ago, 16-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

Plastic colors are minutely fine-tuned, so as long as you know the specific color of the batch (a lot less (...) (21 years ago, 16-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, FTX)

My shopping behaviour hasn't changed a bit.
