  Re: Pick-a-Brick inventories

(...) The Brand Retail stores in the North East have had VERY little turnover in the last 6 months. Usually, the only time something new is placed on the wall is when one part runs out. This does not occur very frequently. None of the employees like (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Skeletons are Minifigs too

In order to achieve the loc.au monthly trivia quota, I offer the following research insights on the Hogwarts Castle Mark 2 (set 4757). Personal inspection of a built set reveals the following 9 items which might (by some) be regarded as minifigs: (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.loc.au) !

Re: Read Sales in the Subset

(...) Well, it'll be affected by the fact that the 2x2 version has considerably different internal geometry than the 2x4 version, but the 2x4 version has much more sturdy geometry than you'll find inside either a 2x4 brick or plate.   Build session on August 28th for BrickCon 2010

As many of you know, I'm the Mindstorms coordinator at BrickCon. As such, I need to make sure that anyone bringing robots will have room to display them.   Anyone have instructions for set #309 (Church)?

I was looking for something on Peeron today and quite by accident stumbled upon this set: (URL) there are no instructions linked from Brickshelf.   Re: Quality issue - update

Thanks for the tip about stacking plate tolerances, Jake. A related effect occurs with some 1x2 bricks (first obvious to me with sand red). The crack between bricks in a wall depends on which way the 1x2 are pointing. One end of each brick is a (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Which parts can't you measure? I do 90% of my measuring with other bricks, another 9%+ with math. There's usually a way to get within 2LDU of any measurement on a LEGO piece. I very rarely use any 'real' measuring tool. Some common sizes: 4LDU (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: 2x4 Brick model?
