I went to the Bel-Square LEGO store last Wednesday with my PaB box that I got
back in Feb. '09.

Even without any reuse discount, (like there is for the cups) I didn't want to
accumulate a pile of PaB boxes, so I used the same one at least 6 times, mostly
during last fall.
I went to the PaB wall, set the box on the table provided, and started filling
it with red 1x12 bricks, among other things, and an associate said that box was
no longer sold, and would let me buy only one more, and I continued to fill it
for the last time.

Now, if they had something like those green tubs they had a few ago...
Or here's an idea for LEGO: Build a box out of bricks, and fill it up. Or build
a solid cube. as long as it's within some specified dimensions.

Here's my suggestion: 32x32x26-2/3H. Start with a 32x32 baseplate, and build
walls on its edges 26 bricks high, fill it with bricks, and cap with a lid made
of 2 layers of plates. If you bring your own 32x32 baseplate, you can save the
cost of buying one, paying only for the bricks.
I sent this suggestion to TLG. Send the same, in your own words, and LEGO just
might make it happen.

$150 did seem a bit high for a block of bricks 25x26x21H, but some calculations
showed that it was on par with the number of large reuse-priced cups that many
bricks would fill, following the Scientific Method Of Maximum LEGO Density, of
course.

Give it a Maximum-Density Splat!
