Problem with new bulk "Train Windows" - They are clear, not blue!

The "Train Windows" bulk set is shown as a clear light blue thin-wall. I asked to make sure of this with the operator and she said that they are the same as in the current train set. Instead, I got a bunch of clear thin-walls! They have no tint at (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jun-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO.new is coming

(...) Here, Here! I find the use of Flash on the site a litle cumbersome. Espcially when a more portable technology such as java/javscript/PHP could be used. Not all Lego(R) users have Wintel PC's! A large number seem to use Linux derivatives as (...) (24 years ago, 26-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Formal Letter to TLC?

(...) Well, here's semi-news which I wasn't too public about beforehand. Yesterday I got a tour of TLC's Special Events Dept. (aka the Model Shop) in Enfield. Robin Smith from their legal dept. met me there, and we discussed many things about TLC (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

What I find most interesting on the Best-Lock page is this line at the bottom: "We stock over 100 different Construction Sets, if we don´t currently make the items you require - talk to us - we may be able to help !"   Juniorization

(...) They are seriously misinformed if they believe that. Everything I've heard, from parents, kids, numerous toy store employees at various stores have said that parents and kids unanimously *hate* juniorized sets. Sure they buy them anyway (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Brad, I know how launching a new business venture can be very time consuming, and that you have a very full plate. I have been a harsh critic of TLC in the past. But from the beginning I decided to cut you some slack, and have given you and (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Back Ordered

Over half my bulk order was back-ordered, including my most critical pieces (the "train" windows). I wonder how long it will take to get the parts. Does anyone have any idea of the backlog??? And in the case of the Theme Gallery, where Brad has said that LEGO is indeed aware of it, I'll bet he could use some moral support from the (...)   Re: Any Themepary Layouts?

I built a working roller coaster at one point with 4.5 train tracks and a 4.5V motor. I used technic (Expert Builder at that time) beams for the supports. The highest peak was about 2 feet high. After that, it went down, did a U-turn, then fell into (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.au)

I noticed the following discounts at the Tustin Ranch, CA TRU - Rapid River Villiage - 29.95 (apparently the normal price is 59.95) - Flying Ninja Fortress - 49.99 (usually 89 or 99 or something like that ) - This one just keeps going down in price.
