  Re: Why I HATE Lego

Yep - I've been lusting after this very set for I don't know how long. Its just those pieces I want too! An alternative is LDRAW. I just created a building using TONS of these glass window pieces in the virtual world. You can't touch it, but the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brickbay Shopping List

There is already a mechanism that does this and more! If you go to "My Brickbay" and set up your wanted list, it will let you choose from a list of parts (not including everything, but most parts are there). Once you have set this up as a "wanted" (...)   Eric Bitton - Thanks for the catalogs!

Eric, Pardon-moi. J'ai fais une faute avec votre nom. Pardon my probable French mis-spellings and so forth. I was trying to say sorry about making a mistake with your name! Anyhow, I'm really enjoying three of those catalogs you handed out. LEGO (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

(...) Spotted those Tuesday and bought some more at Hornsby on the train ride home on Friday @ 20%. Regarding the offer, it was offered presuming Grace Bros would get them at half price.   LUGOLA Meeting - Saturday, March 24th - For sure this time!

LUGOLA Meeting March 24th Well, its time to get together again to share MOC's, trade, and enjoy LEGO together. This time its at our house in Southern Orange County. Hopefully, we can get some of the "Southerners" to attend. This date was in doubt (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Bricktopia Park Train Station

This is the latest addition to Bricktopia. It is another train station on the far side of town. This one is significantly smaller than the primary transit terminal, but still has some interesting architectural features to it. (URL) usual, on the (...)   Re: Water Temple MOC

Right now, I'm just playing around so I'm not sure there is much thematic association between my CAD creations. Perhaps I'll create Datsville eventually! Is there a more appropriate place to post CAD creations or do we just post them in the normal (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.cad)

The clouding up is actually supposed to happen. If you read the directions, you are supposed to apply it and then buff it off after it dries. It is intended mainly as a polish, but we happen to use it to clean and remove dirt and other stuff. (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Spanning large areas

That's a pretty interesting discussion! I suspect that your beams would be much stronger if you used the 1/3 high bricks instead of the standard 1 brick high. I have noticed that the 1/3 size bricks bind considerably more tightly than the full size (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Best sets for creating foliage?

The old pirate sets had a lot of the palm tree pieces. Unfortunatly, you can't get those any more. I managed to get a bunch of this stuff by trading with neighborhood children that felt themselves to be too "old' for LEGO. Make friends with the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)
