LEGO Explore and independent toy sellers

I came across a 2-page piece in the June 2002 issue of "Specialty Toys & Gifts." It's by Carrie Casaceli, who's spokeswoman for the Americas panel of LLI (the LEGO Learning Institute). The article isn't online, so I'll quote some of it here. Much of (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jun-02, to lugnet.duplo, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.lego)

Re: Reviews of Island Xtreme Stunts

(...) I know some people hate 1x2x5 (does Tim C. hate it as much as the 2x4x3?) but I've come to think of these as vertical 2x6 bricks. The real juniorized junk is a fusion of special parts and basic brick, like bricks with axle pegs. (...) It's not (...) (22 years ago, 26-May-02, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.year.2002)

I'm sure they know we want this in America, but I don't think it is possible. Last I knew, all the models for the California Park were being built in England. If this is true then there just aren't any master builder workspaces at the LL CA. And no (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.dear-lego)
