This is the coolest thing I have seen all week. Found this article in Aviation Week Magazine. All the usual copyright stuff applies. (URL) call first rights on building the first MOC. :^) Stay Tuned. ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 6-Sep-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

(...) It's kind of extortion to pay the 550 though, isn't it? I mean, Todd let it lapse for whatever reason, it is true. Would we be encouraging this sort of thing by paying?   Re: Pay It Forward

(...) What if person X *was* Adolf Hitler? Maybe your random act of charity might have forever changed him and prevented what he would have otherwise done. And, isn't the question "How do I know person X is deserving?" in itself "evil"? Are we (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Update to Business 2.0 Article (was: LegOS forced to use another name?)

This update to the article discussed in this thread is taken from the November 2001 issue of Business 2.0. It isn't on (URL) so I thought I would run it through OCR and post it here for everyone to see. LUGNET gets a mention (but not a URL), and the (...) I wouldn’t say that you are being Jingoistic per se, but I do think that your view is a little uninformed.
