  Re: Version

Hi The 2.0 MS software is probably more than just the firmware? For people coding in NQC etc, firmware may be all that matters, but for those of us who (also) use the Lego application, a new version with new featueres may be worth it. I dont think (...)   Re: Clearing the firmware

Ok, big surprise: it turns out I'm a moron. It was cleared all along, for some strange reason I was expecting the "00:00" to come up in boot mode - I forgot that was part of the Lego firmware, not the boot code. I guess thats what happens when I (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: where leJOS firmware ?

(...) In RAM, as specified. RAM will hold onto the data just fine, as long as you supply power to it. And the RCX RAM is powered, via battery (that's why if you remove the batteries, you loose the firmware... and everything else). (21 years ago, 12-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

problem downloading srec file to RCX

Bad things happen when I try to use the firmware download tool from the NQC environment to download an SREC file produced by either Web cross compilor.   downloading BrickOS firmware for first time

Hi all, I have built brickos 0.9.0 on Linux platform kernel 2.4.29. Brickos was successfully built with only C (no c++) support. My Lego is RCX2.0 and I am trying to download for first time the standard firmware. For connection with the RCX I am (...) (19 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Expression limitations w/bytecode

As I understand it, the bytecode interpreter doesn't allow you to do fairly simple things like subtract two variables from each other. That makes doing comparisions between sensors somewhat challenging if you want to know the magnitude of the (...) (26 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
