Re: Some more comments and suggestions.

(...) That's a good pseudo-question. It would actually be quite easy to set up a focused group/list for this, as has been done for legOS, NQC, and pbFORTH; the viability is only dependent on the interest in having more room to breathe. Anything (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You might be able to do this if you were clever about it; you might be able to define an opcode that defines a native subroutine that you can call with another opcode, say, that passes in 16- or 32-bit values in registers and expects you store (...) (...) What do you mean by end-user? Does keeping the end-user look and feel mean keeping the existing opcodes intact? You seemed to have mentioned this as a goal before but maintaining just the "look and feel" might no longer mean that. Also, you (...) (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) While I agree that it should be similar, I think it may need some minor modifications to make it truly useful. For example, I would like to be able to control the motors without having to load a program or use a host computer. It would be nice (...) (25 years ago, 10-May-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Looks like you didn't get any answers? The towers make no difference to the RCX brick at all. The originals with serial port work with some things better than the newer USB version. I have both to play with. A serial port on your pc would be a (...) (15 years ago, 25-Sep-09, to lugnet.robotics)
