  "Floating" a motor

Is there any way using the Lego Firmware/software to get a output to float? I have a aplication in which a 'braked' motor will not work...it has to be able to pass over various gears, and I only just clued in to that little fact, as to why it did (...)   [ANN] TinyVM 0.2.2 with auto-power-off

The latest release's firmware shuts the RCX off if it's idle in program download mode for more than 8 minutes. If you have a program running indefinitely, though, batteries will still run out. Also, TinyVM 0.2.2 should work on CygWin 1.1.x, unlike (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

Re: Maximum sample rate (turn rate) for rotation sensor

When using the standard firmware, sensors are sampled every 3 ms. The rotation sensor uses a quadrature encoder with a 1:4 gearing between the axle and the encoder, so there are 16 "ticks" per revolution of the axle. The decoding routine in the (...)
