Hi, yeah... me I just went through such trouble using Java. The RTS should be 'false'. Then by experimenting I found switching the DTR before and after sending to have some positive effect. I trust you adhere to + starting a session with 'Alive' (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.cybermaster, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Ok, big surprise: it turns out I'm a moron. It was cleared all along, for some strange reason I was expecting the "00:00" to come up in boot mode - I forgot that was part of the Lego firmware, not the boot code. Rick, I believe that you take a battery out and turn the thing on, which will reset it to firmwareless mode. Then you just download the lego firmware to it as if you had just gotten a new rcx. Nick (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

I have another problem with Visual NQC 2001. If I dump my firmware, the program will not recognize the brick. Hi, it 's a nice work. I like working with the macintosh because most of the work happens with intuitive menu or button events. Therefor it 's important to have a simple tool like MacNQC for programming my RCX. Doing the same work with NQC needs the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

hmmm, downloaded the Beta but get a fail boot mode error when trying to update the firmware. the brick says rcx 1.0 on it and i'm running SDK on an NT machine, am heading to the archives to look for answers.. ...unless someone knows a quick (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics)

You can't actually do this the way you describe. You can't pulse the motor outputs as required to drive the FOS with the standard firmware. The FOS has only one LED, and the VLL signal is a bit more complicated than on/off. You can use the scout VLL (...)
