Hi,
it 's a nice work. I like working with the macintosh because most of the
work happens with intuitive menu or button events. Therefor it 's important
to have a simple tool like MacNQC for programming my RCX.
Doing the same work with NQC needs the Apple MPW. It 's not difficult for me
to do the right things to get a program running with the RCX.
But writing a line like the following two
nqc -Trcx2 -d -Sa -pgm 1 test.nqc
or nqc -firmware firm0328.lgo
into the worksheet and then pressing the enter button - _n_o_t_ the return
button - is not very intuitive. It 's not you problem, Dave - you have done
the most powerful work to have NQC -, but MacNQC has a better interface
between the computer and the man sitting in front of the screen. I hope that
a lot of mac users get this tool.
Hi Robert, yes I want to have the MacNQC for the old 68000 machines. I have
some of them an they may do their work at school for writing document and
programming with HyperCard. They could do the programming of the RCX too if
there would be a 68000 version of MacNQC. I think that NQC with MPW is very
complex for children.

| Hi all, I have been working on an updated version of MacNQC and am now ready for a public beta. If you are interested in it, it can be found at (URL). There are some new windows to control the RCX and the compiler has been updated to NQC 2.2r2. Rob (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)
