Re: Anybody bought the 8438 Crane Truck yet?

Re: New Mech, Jumping Spider, a Mladen inspired creation

(...) I can see the sinister influence of Mladen, but this one is classic Neumann. The chunky legs w/tires on the bottom for a sure grip are epic. I'd hate...scratch that...love to see the web of death this thing could spin. Great chain-gun and (...) (20 years ago, 9-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Interesting suspension set-up

(...) That yellow piece came from 8466. And 8386 actually has the same piece, just in black. I once tried to motorize my 8466 with the RC buggy motors. It works, just not well because of the weight. But I think those yellow pieces went through it (...) (20 years ago, 9-Aug-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: The inquisition comes to your sector.

It probably won't shock you to hear that I really dig this moc, and the theme behind it. I'm not that familiar with 40k, but the first thing that came to mind was Dune for some reason. I'm on the bandwagon as far as the angel-wings go, although I (...) (20 years ago, 9-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks Keith, Unfortunately I was all out of the large ball joint sockets that are so appropriate for PCS engines. I used all mine on the SPLASH and didn't want to disassemble it quite yet. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (21 years ago, 15-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) NO KIDDING! "8459 follows the footsteps of 8460, rises to godly stature" We can now proclaim the 843x block taken by 2004 Technic sets and reissues! W00t! (Yes I know about 8432=8428 and 8437, just conveniently ignoring them) Keith (20 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.technic)

Mocs, Smack, and a Pimp: my Brickfest 04' experience

I'd like to echo the sentiments of the other attendees and thank Christina and all the people who worked hard and stressed out to make Brickfest 04' such a blast. (...) You want this: [LEGOSet 3748] (a bit expensive) Available from S@H or Bricklink. The bulb and lens also available separately from Bricklink, I think. I too want to get a couple for use as headlights in my Technic cars. Keith (20 years ago, 20-Aug-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Yeah, Keith I wasn't talking about YOUR mom, I was talking about KEVIN'S mom...we all know that it would take a mosaic of about, oh, say, 3000 studs across to accurately portray yo' mama's bulk.
