Re: Some great Space info and dicussion

Hi Jordan, If I may respond to a few of your comments... (...) I believe this to be true in modern day fleets. I am sure fuel and energy usage are calculated into a mission. (...) If you take a look at the history of technology, it is filled with (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Old style danish country house in Miniland scale

(...) Its nice to see MOCs in Miniland scale. The roof looks absolutely fantastic - it looks very natural and "sits" very well on the house. The colour scheme is also nice, especially red/sand red and the greys at the base. The black roof and white (...) (21 years ago, 3-Dec-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Now that I've had a chance to see the new colors

(...) I think that's overstating the problem, just a little. There are plenty of rocks, stones, even castles that are quite a "metallic" colour of grey. Yes, the old dark grey did have a nice "organic" feel to it, but really I don't think that the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Theoretical Question: Missile Design

(...) Placing the engines far from the central axis wouldn't do anything, but placing them far from the center of mass would give them some mechanical advantage. (...) As others have said, a sphere would be the ideal, though in practice probably (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I sure hope that bubble automatically darkens, as the pilot would otherwise be blinded by the many nuclear explosions that will occur in any space battle. Visual sensors are far less useful in space than on Earth anyhow.. :) Anyway, nice li'l (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

New MOC: Olaf Class Attack Cruiser

(URL) know, I scanned in these pictures at 1200x1200 DPI, but they still came out looking like crap, perhaps because I had to reduce the size.. Hrmm, Ozbricks.net is down, does anyone know how long it's been unavailable? I don't want to have to move (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) I was referring to a fighter, where being able to quickly rotate would be an advantage. Thrusters appropriately placed could be used to stop the rotation at the optimal time. (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

How extensively do you plan ships?

How extensively do all of you plan your vessels before you commence with construction? Personally, I usually do a small doodle or just start building before making a ship of less than 120 studs. When the ships are larger than that, I generally do a (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.space)
