Re: A taste of the east, or, the Korean Lugnet

(...) The sad thing is that a lot of those sets look better than what we can find on the US market. I wouldn't be surprised if Oxfordbrick were really a subsidiary of Lego, this would allow them to release military-style sets without drastically (...)   Re: What's actually the task of the moderators on BrickShelf?

(...) Simply put: The job of the moderators is not to expunge content YOU may find politically inappropriate or in poor taste. They merely enforce the content and usage guidelines set forth by BrickShelf. As for the "Iron Reich" glorifying Nazism, (...) (...) I blame TLC for this man's sadness. 2003 just raised everyone's expectations too high. Along with some truly inspired set designs, I think 2003 saw a genuine change in direction closer to the "true" Lego values as I see them, and I haven't (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jul-04, to lugnet.general)

Lego is not "just" a toy. But it is a toy. Lego is sold and marketed as a toy to children and adults who are buying toys for their children. (...) What you have to look at is the age ranges. Harry Potter, which is similar to older castle in complexity and use of parts, is 8+,7+,8+. Knights Kingdom is 5+,6+,7+.
