  Re: wanted: 2x2 classic windows

(...) Lindsay, 1x2x2 windows do exist in black. But I can't say in what set. I purchased two of these, as well as one 1x1x2 (thin tall) window in black in a German toy stores train parts box back in the 80's. This wooden box with lots of partitions (...)   Re: wanted: 2x2 classic windows

(...) Yes a collector friend in Germany told me about that rare 1x3x2 blue window. It's in the locomotive, if I remember correctly. It's the only occurrance of a 1x3x2 window in a color besides red or white. I hope that Brad Justus confirms that (...) (...) Nice collection Jim. I too have the November 1962 Samsonite Saturday Evening Post ad. LEGO ads are a nice sub-topic of LEGO printed collectibles. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: I'm exiting the world of LEGO.

(...) That is very disappointing news. You were getting to be so well known as "Mr. LEGO Slope". I have to say that Rob has always been a class act, and one of the first people I have ever traded with. I hope you don't liquidate all your LEGO. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Sticker Shock...Lego Direct?

(...) I think that you "hit the nail on the head" Richard. They aren't doing this for charity. They are doing it to make money. And if it involves labor intensive processes, you can bet that the 5 cent parts will only be found in the buckets and (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Dear lego, please liscence the film galdiators

(...) As someone who loves the Greco-Roman theme, I mentioned a few months ago a Classics Architectural set of about 2000 pieces that would be great for TLC to come up with. Many of you may have seen a set of wooden blocks in the classic style that (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) As someone who has a large collection of rare pieces, I am totally in agreement with mass producing them. I won't be hurt, because buying more of them means that I will now be able to build grander and more detailed buildings. Yeah I have 42 (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: wanted: 2x2 classic windows

(...) There were quite a few sets that had yellow 1x2x2 windows. The Police Station set #585 had the most ever, with 11 windows. There were a few basics sets that had these as well. Sets #510 and #517, both from the mid 1980's had 2 windows in each (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

(...) I have been thinking about this topic for a very long time. My take on this is that in lugnet.general, the most people will be exposed to the history behind LEGO. If we were to make say a lugnet.history, or a lugnet.classic, perhaps a lot of (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Window questions for Brad Justus

Rare 1958 Dealers Windows & Door Box
