| | Re: This is just funny.
|
| (...) WOW, it looks like the old 700e baseplate (10x20) used since the 1950's, which I haven't seen around in a long time. The white plate shown here was discontinued in the late 70's or early 80's (along with the gray one). The yellow, green, red (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: new piece idea
|
| (...) I think also that TLC should make new town windows. Between 1957-77, TLC made 9 different window types. Today we have the 2x2, the 4x3 and a few large 4x5, 4x6 etc windows, but not the variety of the classic era. I woundn't mind if they (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

| (...) As someone who has dealt with John in the past (and currently still owes him some LEGO), I can say that he has had a tough time (medically) and I won't go into details. But I honestly believe that John will make everything right. I hope that (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

| Hey Scott, you didn't even ask me to go along! (Heh-heh, we work about 2 miles apart). We should get Mark Koesel and meet for lunch again before (or after) the holidays.... I got the largest set from the 1950's (700 - the 1950's Town Plan) from a (...) (25 years ago, 13-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general)

| | Re: The War of yellowcastle Storyboard
|
| Very nice indeed Thomas! I have to say that this, the first major attempt by TLC at the Castle series (1982), was in many ways better than the later grey/black castle sets. Although yellow was not the best color to use for castles, it doesn't (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

| | Re: Tall Yellow Windows?
|
| Bryan, Good luck finding them. I have 6 of them, but they are all tied up in my One Shell Plaza office building. These are one of the rarest of all large windows. They only came in one of the Town House sets in the early 1980's (2 to a set), but I (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Kresge - the founder) was the name of the 5 & 10 stores (nickel & dime) that were all over America from during the first 8 decades of this century. They disappeared in the 1980's (...)
