Re: WB Promo Pokemon Cards (was: Re: WB store sale)

I placed two orders, one for 4 4561s and one for 10 8735s. I received in the mail yesterday two envelopes with my order status of backordered, but I got a pokemon card in each envelope. Now I see my status is cancelled on both orders online. Blah! (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: funny ebay auction

(...) Yup. I did a quick calc last night on a pile of auctions that I have recently shipped. The outcome was that ~24% of what was *remitted* went to the USPS. Keeping in mind that remitted is above the bid price (because of added shipping charges). (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: What kind of paint on Lego?

Mr L F Braun wrote in message (...) However, (...) I'm not to fond of the water acrylics, I was thinking along the lines of enamel as I want this to be permanent. Thanks Lindsay. Lego is not a toy, it's a way of life. Build on! (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Cancelled bids on Ebay--what to do?

(...) Yes, of course. That's not the point. In the case at hand, the bid retraction almost gives people the same kind of information as inside traders on Wall Street. It's not that I'm going to be mad if I don't get a high price for my goods (as (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: For Your Eyes Only !!!

(...) I was curious, so I looked it up. Insertion Fee: $2.00 Final Value Fee: $153.52 (based on the opening bid) The Final Value Fee only applies if she gets a bid. Otherwise, its the $2 listing fee. A Reserve Price AUction would have been (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

You aren't dealing with that conglomerate YET. The merger won't go through until much later in the year. Otherwise, I'd find out an internal # at work to raise hell ;-) (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: WB store sale

(...) Its a shame that the WB Store doesn't have a feedback number :) Of course, now I wonder if it should really be called the 'Time/Warner/AOL/Net...MI-Store'. Remember which mega-conglomerate you are dealing with here. Ray (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Castle World

(...) Just figure out how to build Viking long boats, I think they've been around since the early days of european castles. Come to think of it, there have been sea-going ships since before the Roman Empire. I'm not quite sure about the history of (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: WB store sale

My order (confirmed the afternoon of the 18th) is still listed as "Credit Card Hold." While I am nowhere near the credit limit, I think that a WEEK should be enough time for them to email me about a problem with the transaction. Naji (...) 17th, (...)   Re: Website is almost finished...

(...) Okay, the Official Lego Logo is now off. I was not aware that I was not aloowed to do this. Now I have the word 'Lego' that links to the Lego site. Thanks, Jeremy (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Cancelled bids on Ebay--what to do?

It is just something you have to live with... it happens. Be thankful the bids are retracted before the auction's end. There are bidders who do it deliberately try to manipulate the system. The worst example of this I have experienced was when a (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  XOOM connection problems

I have not been able to ftp to my xoom site for almost a week. I keep getting a "receive error: blocking call cancelled" message. I use WS_FTP LE and have all the settings set as always.   Re: How good is 8428

(...) Intertoys had 8432 on sale for Hfl. 50,00 last month, but I don't know if it's still avaible anywhere. 8432 is the same as 8428 but without CD. Scroll a bit back in lugnet.local.nl for some discussion about it. Rengenier (26 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: The Law of Falling Lego

(...) This is a well-established Law of Murphy, but it still never fails to annoy me. I build most of my smaller sets on my desk, and invariably I'll drop a piece or two during construction, only to have it skitter to the joint of the wall and floor (...)   Re: Different castle buildings...
