  Re: LEGO grandfather clock

(...) Hmm. Maybe Eric's only 12 inches tall, and the clock's not that big after all... I mean, do we have any independent verification of his height? In all seriousness, that is one amazing piece of sculpting. And to think I was thrilled when I (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Clearance price-matching (was Re: Last round of Target markdowns?)

You have to call FIRST THING in the morning. I just finished a 100 mile trip to go get some 4561s at $32.44 each - I called the second they opened, and hoped they'd still be there when I got there (luckily, they DID have some. Not as many as I (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Wow! That is incredible! Now all you need is a little cuckoo to jump out every hour! :) Excellent job, I love the way the escapement gear looks-- did it need to have exactly 12 cogs, thanks to our backwards timekeeping standards of multiples (...)   Re: Clearance price-matching (was Re: Last round of Target markdowns?)

(...) I think it makes total sense (though it's not how I *wish* it worked.) The crux of the matter is that the return policy is for people who want to *return* something, not get the best price for it. If their policy was refund the difference then (...)   Re: WTB: 5077 Sliding doors

Oh, I wouldn't expect to grab all of a person's stock, that wouldn't be fair. I have no problem interleaving my requests with others. The only time I'd want all of a person's stock is if they had 4 or less - to make a decent boxcar, I really need 4 (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: LEGO grandfather clock

Nice piece of work. Certainly impressive given the height and functionality. I like the doodads up on the top too. Nice touch. One thing I wonder about is what it sounds like - how much of a Grandfather-Clock-Like-Sound does it make? Does that great (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Scans of my Minifigs

Well, I didn't have to go to work today (Yay! Snow!!), so I decided to work on my website. First on my agenda, after a slight redesign, was to start scanning my minifigs. I've only gotten one scan done so far, but I'll try to update the page this (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)
