Re: Q: How useful is "6497 Twisted Time Train" for LEGO trains?

(...) Yea, if that was the case, even I might have some extra nose pieces (I do have a bunch of these, but I'm not giving up any nose pieces yet). The only parts I really don't like about this set are the minifigs. (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)

Steve: (...) Since I want to make a floppy sized distribution anyway, I definitely feel like taking the time to do it. (...) Since it also seems to work on Linux, I suspect that it does.   Re: Looking for a piece

(...) Some of the Wild West sets have them also (the Indian sets, which also have 5x5 diagonal bricks). I forget which, but I sorted a bunch of WW sets recently, and put away 3x3 and 5x5 diagonals in light grey. What I'd like to know is if any set (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

8480 Space Shuttle have hit $56.25 or less!

Forgot to post this here... GOOOOOD parts pack for robotics... A coworker call the Sacramento, CA store, and they were taking 25% off the $75 sale price, making them $56.25 each! (...) Call Lego, and ask for a replacement. They _know_ that this part breaks often, since it seems to be a pourly designed part in the first place.:) James (who has had to replace one of them already) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)

To All, (...) I love this set, I don't know why. It is just neat. (...) Definitely. I had cars ramming through this building all the time. It would be nice to have part packs for both, one for individual bricks, and some for 5 brick high walls. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yes, on walls like that, staggered bricks would be better. But look at this set: (URL) 1xNx5 bricks would make it a whole lot more stable than stacked bricks. (...) But you have to admit that they look great (8 wides) compared to toyish 6 wides. I like the analogy of comparing 6 wides to Lionel trains. They just don't look right. And although 8 wides look "LEGO goofy" compared to model trains, they at (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains)
