As of toaday i ahve counted over 5 stores in the local area (San Jose and Sunnyvale) having Mindstorms and other cool kits. The "<<" is a shift left operator in C 0E is the actual motor port on the Handy Board. (...) mean? (...) between 4 and 7. (...) peek(address) | value). Remember, it is just the MINI-catalog! There is still a lot that they don't show! There are more Set Numbers and Minifigures at AGONN (Don't know URL, it is in a previous post though) that aren't on this catalog. Jeff (...) Huw, Very nice job. I saw that you used a clutch gear. On thing I've been experimenting with is replacing a clutch gear with a pair of motors, one working like a generator to drive the other. This only works well if the generator-half is one of the (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi Most of the IR LED's sold at Radio Shack are the 840-880 nm wavelenght type. The Sharp tin can requires the 940 nm wavelength IR beam if my memory serves me right, it also requires to be modulated at 38 or 40 kHz depending on the model. This 38 (...) So I went to the web site with the 1999 catalog scans and saw he got the catalog from a Bi-Wing Baron at Fred Meyer. SO I decide what the heck, I'll go to Fred Meyer and get a Bi-Wing. So I do, and wah lah! I got the catalog. The interesting thing (...) (27 years ago, 2-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

I bought 2 Anniversary Buckets ( the 601 piece one). It saved me a $1 over K-Mart. Service also had the bigger bucket on sale, I think it was $15.99.
